FIRST TIME YOU ENTER A GRADE FOR AN ASSIGNMENT: Type the assignment
number and the grade in the ASSIGNMENT.GRADE area. If the grade for
assignment 6 is 88, then type 6.88 <enter> The number after the
period is the grade. Don't forget the period. Do not use decimals in
the grade itself. If this is an assignment that has not been entered
before, then PROGRADE will prompt for a description of the assignment
(ex: SOUND TEST),grade category (ex: T for TEST), and maximum grade
value (ex: 100 or 25 NOTE: DO NOT USE A VALUE LESS THAN 1.0).
TO ENTER A GRADE FOR THE SAME ASSIGNMENT AS THE LAST ASSIGNMENT
ENTERED: Enter the grade itself, with NO PERIOD. This speeds entry of
a class set of grades. Should a paper for another assignment show up,
though, you must use the ASSIGNMENT.GRADE format to place the grade in
the right location. (example: 5.83) As long as you continue to enter
the grades for one assignment, do not specify the ASSIGNMENT number.
TO ENTER A LETTER GRADE (A,A-,C+, ETC.) First preset the numerical
grade equivalents using the initialization program. Then a letter
grade may be entered at any location where a number grade can be
entered. For example, you could enter 5.B- or simply C+ if
the assignment is the same number as the previously entered assignment.
